Leighann Diehl, DVM

Dr. Leighann DiehlDr. Leighann Diehl is a New Jersey native. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 10-years-old, and did everything growing up to achieve that dream. Dr. Diehl attended Bucknell University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then attended the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada. A highlight of her time in veterinary school was participating in a non-profit group called The Chinook Project, where she traveled to Inuit communities in Labrador, Canada to spay and neuter sled dogs. She graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College with honors and decided to return back to New Jersey to do an internship with Garden State Veterinary Specialists. During her internship, she developed a particular interest in dermatology, internal medicine, and emergency care. After her internship was completed, she joined the Westfield Veterinary Group team.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Diehl loves staying active. Some of her favorite pastimes are running and hiking with her dog. She lives with her husband and their fur-babies. They have three cats named Bert, Penelope, and Delilah and a shelter pup named Millenium Falcon (known as Millie for short).
