Dr. Richard Maus began his veterinary career at Westfield Veterinary Group immediately following his graduation from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. In July 2017, he celebrated his 36th year in practice and 32nd year as the proud owner of WVG.
Over the years, Dr. Maus has honed his practice management and business development skills, and is proud of what he and his entire team have accomplished. With the opening of WVG’s 24-hour emergency hospital, the practice now provides the very best veterinary medicine has to offer every minute of every day.
Dr. Maus and his wife Janet are proud parents of five children (veterinary medicine runs in the family), grandparents of two boys, and always in the company of their 11-year-old cocker spaniel Daisy. He and his wife enjoy traveling, camping, golf, and the beach.
