To better serve our patients and clients, as of August 5th, 2020, Westfield Veterinary Group’s Union location will suspend overnight hours and hospitalization of pets.
It is always our goal to provide the highest quality of care for all patients. Due to staffing shortages from the Coronavirus pandemic, we are unable to ensure adequate coverage of skilled personnel for the third shift.
August 3rd will be the last night we will admit patients for overnight hospitalization.
Union Location Temporary Emergency Care Hours
Our Union, NJ location will continue to welcome patients for emergency care Monday – Sunday from 7 am-11 pm. After check-in, a veterinarian will examine your pet, complete a full work-up including diagnostics and bloodwork, to provide a diagnosis, and recommended treatment plan. Please call us ahead of time, before you arrive at the hospital, to establish the type of care your pet needs and so that we may prepare for your arrival. For those illnesses or injuries that require more advanced care (overnight hospitalization, specific surgical procedures), we will direct you to Garden State Veterinary Specialists at Iselin.
Please understand that the modification to our emergency hours is temporary, albeit necessary, to ensure the availability of the high-quality care and outstanding service that our pet community has come to know and rely on from Westfield Veterinary Group. We will notify you when we are able to resume normal operating hours.
In the meantime, we ask for your patience, cooperation, understanding, and empathy during these challenging times. Every member of the Westfield Veterinary Group team is doing their absolute best for you and your pet.
Stay well and enjoy your time together.
